All Police Officers who complete their fourteen week probationary training undertake an Initial Firearms course. Officers can, after their two year probationary training period choose to concentrate your career on becoming a Specialist Firearms officer. Through training courses back at the Constabulary Training Centre, you can enhance and develop your core competencies of Authorised Firearms Officers. Such training can cover the area of Firearms search techniques and the use of rifles and batons.
